Unpaid Item

Unpaid item policy

At NowNowSales, we strive to ensure a smooth and reliable buying and selling experience for all our users. To maintain a fair marketplace, we have established guidelines for handling unpaid items. This policy outlines the responsibilities of buyers, the actions sellers can take, and the consequences for buyers who fail to complete their transactions.

Definition of an Unpaid Item

An unpaid item occurs when a buyer commits to purchasing an item (by winning an auction, accepting an offer, or using Buy It Now) but fails to complete the payment within the specified time frame.

Buyer Responsibilities

Commitment to Purchase:

l When you place a bid, make an offer, or use Buy It Now, you are committing to purchase the item if you win or if your offer is accepted.

l Ensure you have the funds available and are ready to complete the purchase before committing.

Timely Payment:

l Complete the payment for your purchase within the specified time frame, typically within 48 hours for Buy It Now or accepted offers, and as soon as possible for auctions.

l Use the NowNowSales payment methods approved for secure and timely transactions.

Seller Actions

Sending Payment Reminders:

l If a buyer has not paid within the specified time frame, the seller can send a payment reminder through the NowNowSales messaging system.

Opening an Unpaid Item Case:

l If the buyer still does not pay after a reminder, the seller can open an unpaid item case through NowNowSales. This must be done within 4 days of the sale date.

l The buyer has 4 days to respond and complete the payment once a case is opened.

Closing the Case:

l If the buyer fails to respond or complete the payment within 4 days, the seller can close the case.

l When the case is closed, NowNowSales may issue a final value fee credit to the seller and record the unpaid item on the buyer's account.

Consequences for Unpaid Items

Warnings:

l Buyers who fail to pay for items may receive a warning on their account.

Account Restrictions:

l Repeated unpaid items may result in temporary or permanent restrictions on the buyer's account, limiting their ability to bid, buy, or sell on NowNowSales.

Negative Feedback:

l Sellers may leave negative feedback for buyers who fail to complete their transactions, which can impact the buyer’s reputation on NowNowSales.

Account Suspension:

l Severe or repeated violations may lead to the suspension or termination of the buyer’s account.

Dispute Resolution

Resolving Disputes:

l If a buyer believes they have a valid reason for not completing the payment, they should communicate with the seller to resolve the issue amicably.

l Buyers can also contact NowNowSales customer support for assistance in resolving disputes.

Appealing Decisions:

l If a buyer feels that an unpaid item case was closed unfairly, they can appeal the decision by contacting NowNowSales customer support and providing relevant evidence.

Best Practices for Buyers

Bid Responsibly:

l Only bid or commit to buy items that you intend to purchase.

l Ensure you understand the item description, shipping costs, and terms of sale before committing.

Monitor Your Bids and Purchases:

l Keep track of your bids and purchases to avoid unintentional unpaid items.

l Set reminders for auction end times and payment deadlines.

Communicate with Sellers:

l If you encounter any issues that may delay your payment, communicate promptly with the seller to explain the situation and find a solution.

By following these guidelines, buyers help maintain a fair and trustworthy marketplace for all NowNowSales users. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to upholding these standards.
